QUICK ANSWER
Where are my saved GoThai translations stored?
Saved text translations stay in the browser on the device where you save them. Open Review, find My words, and choose From translator to see them. They remain after sign-out, but do not synchronize to your GoThai account. Clearing that browser’s site data removes the local copies.
Link to this answerHow do I save a text translation?
- Open Translate in the browser and on the device where you want to keep the result.
- Choose the language direction, enter a short message, and translate it.
- Check the result and choose Save under the translation.
- Wait for Saved to appear. Saving keeps a local copy of the Thai and English text.
Saving a translation does not verify its accuracy. For a name, address, or important instruction, compare it with the original or have the wording checked before keeping it for later use.
Where can I find it again?
Open Review, find My words, and select From translator. You can also use the search field to look for saved wording. Select an entry to open its details.
Use the same browser and device you used to save it. A translation saved in a laptop browser will not appear in your phone’s browser simply because you sign into the same GoThai account.
If an entry is missing, first check the browser, device, and My words filter. If the browser’s site data was cleared, the local translation cannot be restored from your GoThai account. Keep a separate copy of anything you would need if your phone or browser became unavailable.
What is local and what follows my account?
These resources have different storage and download behavior:
| Resource | Where to find or prepare it | What to expect on another device |
|---|---|---|
| Saved machine translations | Review → My words → From translator | Local to the browser where saved; not restored by account sign-in |
| Course progress and course bookmarks | Sign in to use account synchronization | Can synchronize through the account while connected |
| Downloaded course audio | Download the units you need | Download separately on each device or browser |
| Offline translator pack | Download with an eligible Pro account | Download separately and enable Offline mode on that device |
The translation privacy policy explains local storage and online processing. The product FAQ describes how learning synchronization differs from saved translations and downloads.
Does signing out remove saved translations?
Saved machine translations remain in that browser after sign-out. Keep this in mind when using a shared device. To remove an individual entry, open it from My words and choose Remove from saved. Removing that saved entry removes the local copy from your list.
Clearing site data removes saved local translations as well as other browser resources. Check what you need to keep before clearing storage; the account does not hold a backup of your saved machine translations.
Does saving a phrase make translation or speech work offline?
Saving text and preparing an offline engine are separate actions. A saved result is not a download of the translator, course audio, or online speech service. Sign-in and cloud synchronization also need a connection.
Use the offline translation guide to prepare the optional pack, then test the functions you need before leaving connectivity behind. For a translated photo, use the photo tool’s export option and keep the exported image where you can find it on your device.
